food: If at all possible practice should be done on an empty stomach. Its best if the entire digestive system is as empty as possible before morning practice. At least 30 minutes before practice students may have a little water, tea, coffee or juice. But none should be taken during class.
clothing: Wear something you can move freely in and sweat in.
cleanliness: Students should be showered and clean before yoga practice.
mind: Advanced yoga practitioners and beginners alike face the same primary challenge: to remember again and again to relax be patient with themselves and enjoy their practice.
injury: Please inform your instructor if you have an injury or are pregnant so your practice can be modified to suite your situation.
Menstruation: Women are advised to take a holiday from practicing yoga for the first 2-3 days of their cycle.
Moon days: Traditionally practice is suspended on full and new moon days.
